Golf Value Lab exists to solve a practical equipment problem: a driver can be excellent and still be the wrong purchase for a particular golfer.
The GVL model combines a golfer's common miss, trajectory, broad swing profile and preferences with clearly sourced product design facts. It then evaluates new and used offers separately by price, discount, buyer protection and availability. Current and previous-generation equipment can compete in the same shortlist.
Golf Value Lab does not operate a physical testing laboratory and does not present manufacturer claims as independent test results. The product is an original, transparent decision model that helps a shopper narrow the market to options worth testing.
Who publishes the research
Articles and product profiles are published under the organizational byline Golf Value Lab Editorial Team. That name identifies the site's documented research and review process; it is not an invented individual and does not imply credentials or testing that have not been disclosed. Personal author information is not currently published.
Accountability comes from named sources, dated prices, a public scoring method, visible confidence levels, tradeoffs, a corrections channel and a separation between editorial decisions and future commercial relationships.
How a profile is built

The driver catalog covers sourced standard full-size U.S.-market models from 2024–2026. The same fit-first, market-aware structure is intended to expand to fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters as the research is completed.
